Accessibility
I want everyone to be able to read and use this site, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or zoom.

The standard I aim for
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a target, not a certified result. The site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
What I have done
- Structure
- Pages use headings, landmarks and lists so that screen readers can move through them.
- Keyboard
- Links, menus and controls are meant to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Colour and text
- Text colours were chosen for contrast above the WCAG AA minimum, and pages stay readable when zoomed to 200 percent.
- Images and diagrams
- Images have text alternatives, and diagrams come with a written explanation of what they show.
- Motion
- Animation is kept to a minimum and respects the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.
- Two languages
- Each page declares its language, English or Turkish, so assistive technology pronounces it correctly.

Known limitations
Some content is not yet fully accessible:
- Documents from the earlier site
- Older files, such as the CV PDF and some archived pages, were not created with accessibility in mind and may be hard to use with a screen reader.
- Screenshots and video
- Some product screenshots contain small text that is part of the image. Videos may not yet have captions.
- External sites
- Linked sites such as LinkedIn, Medium and GitHub are outside my control.
Reporting a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, please email gonencturkekul@gmail.com. Tell me the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you like, the browser or assistive technology you use. I will reply and, where I can, fix the problem or send you the content in another format.
